Colours

Words by a Broken Heart

Red

The blush that tinges my cheeks when I am with you;

the electric feeling of ecstasy when you touch me;

the fire that spreads within me when you so much as flash your pearly smile my way;

the anger I feel when you are just out of reach;

the frustration I feel when things stray from routine;

I feel red.

Blue

The tears that roll down my cheeks when I am upset;

the colour of the moon when you make me cry;

the gloom that envelops me when you are seemingly galaxies away;

the colour of the water I feel as if I'm drowning in when relations are strained;

the suffocation of losing you;

I feel blue.

Yellow

The happiness you bring me;

the sunshine that brightens every dark portion of my day;

the warmth that spreads into every fibre of my being with your arms encircling me;

I feel yellow.

Black

The blindness of my love for you;

the inescapable tunnel surrounding me when you are gone;

my heart without you; the decay of my soul when you leave;

passing out;

hopelessness;

I feel black.

Life

When I am with you;

when we are together; when we are apart;

when we are happy;

when we are sad;

when we are angry;

we are alive.
