A Toker's Spiritual Journey

Wake up in the morning

A little groggy in the head

All of my body

Asks to go back to bed

Let the dogs out

The morning routine

Time for my dose

Of morning caffeine

I take my coffee

Like I take my men

Please make it strong

And put some sugar in

Find the pipe

A lighter too

Time to shake off

The morning dew

Load it up

Set it ablaze

Dive into

The morning haze

A smoke so sweet

Your senses clear

My morning peace

Finding it here

I left the dark

To join a cloud of smoke

Get high with the finest

And the greatest toke

The front door open

A breeze rushes in

Weather so good

It must be a sin

I watch the dogs

As they wrestle and play

This is my life now

Every single day

I found some peace

And left all the bad

To find some inner strength

And let go of what I had

I took a plunge

And followed my heart

For something new

A fresh, clean start

With this new life

I will write my soul

And no longer feel

Hatreds vicious toll

So blow on by

This breeze so sweet

I will lift my face

And feel the heat
