Imaging feeling the cusps of your hands and the soles of your feet frozen beyond belief
Then imagine your future
Wide eyes
Tender heart
Exuberating mind
And there you are STUCK!
As your eyes wander and your mind frolics
Knowing you're so close, so near, so sure
But you're so STUCK!
That you're calling initiating contact
From the looks of it your soul is iced over with
Eager chit chat of how "you can't do this" or "you won't ever be able to accomplish that"
Bittersweet encounters keep you afloat, but you're still STUCK!
The epitome of THEIR minds salutes you
The frankness in their voice dances past and wishes you good luck
Those are mere focuses of our imagination
The same plot that depreived us all anyway
The same shade thrown liable to cover any sunny day is now the reason you are STUCK!
Sunshine from a foreign land never seen before broadens your perspective
The longevity of being creative, new ,and fun now sparks the fire that started, but really never begun
The same shade thrown becomes faded, and you moved out of that jaded fear
Handling your weaknesses and spreading sheer
Hope for a civilization to thrive on
Opening hearts to a new reality that this world will continue to profit on
Gauging the gap between new and the old
Fiddling with thoughts that answered your prayers and gave you mounts of gold
To the world it seems small, but to you it's far from blue
STUCK in a rut is what brings forth the Cold-Hearted Truth!

Lifting the Curtain to a Successful Month
April has been a fantastic month for me in terms of writing endeavors. I’d like to share what’s been so great about it just as many other writers would do. Share successes. I’ve noticed other writers or artists have shared successes and when you just see the snippet of their success, it appears everything has been going right for them all along. But we haven’t seen behind the curtain, we haven’t seen their hard work and their failures and those months that were fraught with disappointment. In everyone’s case, it’s far from the truth. But for the outside observer it isn’t always apparent.
