She feels a reckless decision brewing within her bones
It’s this same feeling that has left her with a morning coffee all alone
Black is only awful if you’re not used to the aroma
Sugar may be sweeter but maybe she’s meant to be bitter from it
Where will it lead her?
The energy she condones?
Where will it seat her?
On the pavement or a throne?
Will her skeleton defeat her?
Broken? Not in one?
Or will the feeling reck less than she already has before?
It doesn’t really matter where she ends up
If it’s on a platter or in a cup
She will be eaten or drunken by everyone
Until she finally feels enough
Until she finally finds love
It’s inevitable in the fact that she has no control
People will use their judgement to think she’s lost her soul
Drinking her coffee in different places on the road
This messy life she’s made is but a drip left on her shirt
It’s not mistakes but lessons that she’s learned
So that when she pours coffee for two
Her bones will no longer ache to be lost in all of you
