Clouds

Flying Free

Eyes as brown as chocolate

Watery like a rainy day

And a smile that keeps me haunted

Except to make me stay

With intentions not to hurt one

But be treated with care

After all that you've done

You're the devil with long hair

You were careful to resist harm

As it was forced to move on

Distracted by your charm

Your intentions were proved wrong

You held your shield up high

In hopes to cure the broken

And help you get by

Without your happiness being stolen

Chocolate eyes streaming

But my dear, they're not yours

Because they are gleaming

While your mind soars

Content with the sensation

Of being secure

No more misfortune

And pain will you endure

In hopes that you are proud

Of who you came to be

High amongst the clouds

Finally flying free.
