Don’t put my name on a cold stone.
Don’t tuck me away in a grave,
Where you only visit me on the anniversary of my death day or our favorite shared holiday.
Don’t leave beautiful flowers to rot and go unseen or admired,
When you think of where I am
I hope you choose to look higher.
Give my body to research,
Don’t have a sorrow session in a church,
Let my body ease somebody's hurt,
Let my heart beat in someone else’s chest,
Let my lungs breathe life into another,
Let me live on in pieces instead of rest in one.
Don’t you dare shed another tear,
It's the circle of life,
We all have an allotted amount of time my dear.
Your journey is to carry on,
Mine ends here.
