What comes, what gets to stay, and what gets to go?

What comes around might never get to stick around

Unbeknownst to the shallows is what's buried deep in the ground

Time and chance decide who gets to keep the crown

What then does the king do when his kinsmen are down?

It's a fine line between fate and faith

What happens if I run out of luck when I hit my eighth?

What if the horrors of doom come trying to swathe?

Who then will be there to break these chains?

We love, then we hate and maybe we learn to let go

Drowning in troubled waters or swaying in smooth sailings

Bear in mind, there ain't no floating when the soul is ailing

It's chaos all in my head and now are sad songs playing

The constancy of change

Shouldn't sound all that strange

You ought to have known that all good things do set a range

Eventually, you'll have to understand the stories explained

Time, they say, will heal my wound

Why then does my rose-heart bleed than bloom?

I always said I'd rather turn back than assume

But here I find myself sullen and sulking in the fumes of your perfume.
