Change

I hate it.

People are terrifying.

They can change in an instant—

And you never know how to react.

There is no script to read for the best outcome.

There is no knowing what to say.

I hate that—

I hate not knowing what to say.

I hate not understanding certain social cues.

I hate not knowing why I’m being yelled at—

Usually because I blurted out something I shouldn’t have.

Saying something weird, or sharing a story I wasn’t supposed to.

It’s better if I just shut my mouth.

Hand me duct tape or some thread and a sewing needle—

Anything to keep this mouth shut.
