Chained Melody

A Poem of Growing

Mind vs Body

Some days You’re okay and some days You’re not.

But the shittiest of all days is

when You think a lot.

The thoughts that wander through your head

have a way of making you shed...

A few tears

drip down.

They hit the ground

Evaporating.

But the thoughts don’t stop.

It’s like a clock.

Ticking tocking

Now you’re rocking

In the corner

Where it’s warmer.

The only thing that you’re able to do,

is take deep breaths and think of you.

They bring you hope

But also pain,

Because You’re scared

They might walk away.

And that’s what started it in the first place.

Love having space to cause excruciating pain.

Jagged memories of words in vain.

Like to suffocate

the adolescent brain

Leaving scars that accentuate pain.

And You were forced to be slain.

But you slowly got stronger

And created a border.

Protecting the heart

from the start.

So that’s why the clock ticks

and that’s why it tocks.

That’s also the reason

why you rock.

You sit In the corner

Because it makes you stronger.

And eventually the pain

of the thought of being slain.

Evaporates away.
