Celebratory Family Members

Remember Them This Holiday Season

They come around in season and expect gifts.

They make unreasonable demands planned out before hand.

They are celebratory family members.

Pretenders who keep both a hand and an eye out.

They gossip and backbite dispite the plight they face in their own lives.

Filled with spite they come to celebrate.

They set the date on their calendar.

All asunder the blasphemer reminisces about the last topic of the last celebration.

It was you.

In lieu of enjoying good company they ask you questions about your current situation.

Anticipation grips them as they want for your pain.

They remain attentive until the pain never arrives.

They thrive in your self pity but you were ready.

You came to feast with family.

Silently you enjoy your meal, but make merriment with family ties thicker than water.

Their love administrator to your presence.

Some family comments take the form of verbal manslaughter.

Kin bloodshed adding fuel and fodder.

Don't bother with petty family members, but feed your soul.

This boldness will starve the soul of petty members forcing them to celebrate their own misery.

Interestingly they are celebratory family members.
