Catch and Release

A Collection of Words

I can’t stop moving

And I think about how

on a molecular level

We are always shifting

Looking through microscope lenses

I see how one small touch changes everything

Our atoms coalesce and separate

A thousand times

In one brush of your finger on my thigh

The second we begin, we end

We don’t connect, just collide

-Freudian Slip-

Her name

Is the best way

To remind me

Of my place

-An apology to the girlfriends-

You went to bed alone

Because he was in mine

But I always send them back;

I am no one’s home.
