A Poem About Gambling Addiction

God, I hate going to the Casino

So what am I doing here? Why are all these people here?

I look around every time I walk in, thinking about I see when I come in this place.

The lights and the sounds of slot machines ringing. People walking about looking for the “hot” digitized machine hoping to win back what they lost on a “cold” one

Chips and coins falling into the bottomless holes of slot machines.

People fall over in a drunken stupor as employees walk around calling out “KENO.”

Money passing hands at the cashier cage. Is it coming in or going out? Yeah, right—some question.

People walk in hoping to find something that they might be missing.

Family, fun, adventure, money, many forgetting that they have otherworldly duties.

For example, the guy leaning against the ATM lost all his money on a wheel of fate, forgetting he had rent to pay

‘Damn there goes my home’ he may be thinking while a woman at the slot machine across the building is on her last penny.

Twenty more dollars out of another woman’s purse. Surely it wouldn’t hurt if she wins the feature, not thinking about her children’s future.

The woman sitting at the slot machine across the way is bashing the screen watching the devil symbols waste her day.

Hope coming in, depression coming out is the normal recipe when you go all out.

The casino provides false hope and encouragement with the lights and bells indicating other people winning.

Odds of 1 in 32 sound appealing, when in reality the likelihood of winning is tiny.

20 may end up as 40 but more often 100 ends up as 20. Hey, they didn’t build this place with their “losings.”

Dreams end up in ashes, while money disappears from the masses.

Casinos grow richer while people grow denser.

That is why I hate going to the casino.

But, ya know that I’m the same, walking in with hopes of winning.

After all my last twenty will create large winnings…I’m due to win after a string of losing. Kaching! Kaching! Ding ding ding…… well….dang….guess not.

But really, I do hate going to the casino. This is my last time, for sure….NO, I mean it this time!

Thank you very much for the information, but I think I can offer a more interesting alternative. Generally speaking choosing a casino for a player is a very difficult part and it's hard to get into the right place the first time. I want to advise you Microgaming Live Casinos https://livecasinos77.com/microgaming-live-casinos/ . As an experienced player, I can tell you that this is a great place to read nice reviews
