Carrie Fisher Is Somewhere

Drowned in Moonlight, Strangled by Her Own Bra

If I know one thing for certain it is that Carrie Fisher is in heaven

Not because she was particularly good or virtuous

Not because she walked to hell and back and all with a sense of humour

Not because she saved my life

Not because she was generous or kind

No Carrie Fisher is not in heaven because of any of those things

I am certain that Carrie Fisher is in heaven because what a waste of a soul it would be if she wasn’t

I am certain that Carrie Fisher is somewhere in the universe floating through the stars

I am certain that she is accompanied by David Bowie and George Michael

I am certain that she is running new stand up material by Robin Williams

I am certain that she is somewhere rolling her eyes at Debbie Reynolds because “Dear God Mom can’t I do One Thing by myself”

I do not believe in a God or heaven

But somehow, some way Carrie Fisher is still out there

Flipping us off from the stars
