Aren’t we a couple of crazy Carnival Kids?
We ride a rollercoaster called Life
Each day and we play a never ending
Game of whack a mole.
We take the time to enjoy our
Cotton candy and popcorn
As we walk down the aisle of
Brightly decorated booths and attractions.
Us Carnival Kids wait in hour-long lines
To get thrilled for a few seconds.
We Carnival Kids race to get spray on tattoos
And face painting.
We’re Carnival Kids who play tag
Among hundreds of adults who
Mindlessly walk around our spectacle.
We’re a crazy couple of Carnival Kids
Who love to escape reality.
We run to our Ferris Wheel and ride it
All the way to the top so that
Our problems can’t find us anymore.
