Carmex Kisses

Angsty Piece About Little Kisses and Chapstick

Carmex kisses are a thing to treasure.

A red-light placement that makes you feel comfortable & loved.

A “wait just one more!” before leaving the four door.

A kiss shared with a self curated playlist that sticks around for weeks or months.

With Carmex kisses there’s more.

However much like the yellow tube with a red top, it’s easy to lose.

No more leaving at even numbers for good luck.

No more blushing as red as your lips after a really great Carmex kiss.

No more having your body feel as tingly as your lips when you first apply the balm.

Also leaving your Carmex behind somewhere is very tough.

The sheer panic that comes with losing your little tube is one that’s unmissable.

You realize you lost something that you trusted to, as the slogan says, “soothe, heal, and protect.”

The tube is something that most people have by them at all times but when it is now gone, it's like missing something in your routine.

You’ll apply in the morning, mid-day, and evening.

You have to learn to live without your Carmex.

Unlike the tiny container that is so easily lost or forgotten, you don’t do that with this kind of Carmex kisses.

For the next one to get the Carmex kisses that I know, he isn’t a miss.

He cares, he listens, he lovingly stares, and makes jokes about pens (odd I know, but you’ll learn to love it).

He sings loudly and mostly out of tune in the car, & always tells you how beautiful you are no matter how busy he can get.

Treasure that one of a kind Carmex kiss from such a one of a kind person.

Without your Carmex kisses,

A red light placement becomes almost dreamt and the hot color is ironically cold.

A “wait just one more!” is replaced with silence and a head turn.

A kiss shared with a self curated playlist becomes a memory replaced with how haunting the good time was.

The Carmex kisses are no more.
