Flash! A moment captured forever

A picture of nature

In the fall, summer, or winter

Flowers, snowflakes, or leaves are captured in a photo

There are so many different images that you can show

As a little girl, I took my camera everywhere

It was like a child’s favorite little teddy bear

I took random pictures of my little sister

Of her walking down the stairs or

Of her standing in front of a mirror

I loved taking my camera with me

Whenever I went on vacation

I have so many random photos

Trust me, I have a ton

I used to be the director of my little siblings’ shows

The ones where they would sing and dance right inside of our home

They would go into the family room with me following behind

I think they liked to do it because they never seemed to mind

Flashward now and all we have are memories

And old photos are saved to my computer

Everything is different

We are all so much older

During the holidays, we like to reminisce and look at all the photos

We cry and laugh and realize how much we've all grown

However, even as we get older and go our own ways

These photos and memories will always remain
