Can’t Wait

I can’t wait to meet the boy who sparks the butterflies in my stomach,

the boy who’ll take my phone storage and waste it on stupid pictures of us.

I can’t wait for him to memorize my orders because we’ve gone out to eat so many times it’s engraved in his head.

I’ll be his biggest fan and he’ll be mine.

We won’t be perfect, but no two people are.

But I promise I’ll try.

I promise to always try to get over my little moods and I’ll try to understand where you are coming from.

For so long it’s been just me

But I’m ready to learn what it means to be with someone.

I can’t wait to find the boy who wants me for me,

the one who’s happiness is in the ability to make me smile.
