Sitting here wondering where did I go wrong thought the man that I was with I thought our love was strong and then I met a man the other day swept me off my feet and stole my heart away every time that I’m with you I think of him white shirt blue jeans and some fresh brown Timbs and when you’re working late at night I call him on the phone and when you'r job tells you to fly I invite him to our home.
Can’t hide the way I feel my heart is moving on have so much love for you but for him it’s strong can’t hide the way I feel no more I’m doing you wrong can’t hide the way I feel my heart is moving on.
Sitting here wondering I don’t know what to do my mind is playing games but I have to tell the truth and when I look you in the eyes I feel the pain inside and when I told you about the lies I felt your heart cry you walk around questioning where did it go wrong I said it wasn’t you but my love for him is strong can’t hide the way I feel no more I was doing you wrong can’t hide the way I feel my heart has moved on.

I promise her. I'd do anything for her. She's my mom. Even as Lanie and Deanna are flying home, Mom is scrappy fighting dying. She lays too still in that too-big bed with all the toasty white hospital blankets, in the south tower, at the broad end of a long slow-turning corner that delivers me again to her private room with the view she can't see through, with the beeping that tells us nothing new, and all these ice chips she can't swallow, and a flood of well-intentioned nurses who cannot do a damned thing all the same.

It Only Took One Minute.......
It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk. Sick and tired of the lies he was spewing, I was up running down the hall, ready to kill him. By the time I reached him, I had calmed enough not to hurt him, but as I turned back towards my room, I knew that I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The decision was clear. I had to leave.
