Can You See Me?

Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? When everything around you is moving and you’re just there...stuck, screaming you’re heart out for someone to wake you up. Yeah, that’s kinda what depression feels like. Wearing a different mask every day to cover your pain, not knowing when you’ll wake up from your nightmare. Wanting to know that there is someone out there who cares, but at the same time you just want to isolate yourself from everyone; to save them from your self destruction. The whole world is in black & white, and you just hope for colors to fade back in to this thing called life. Sometimes your thoughts control you, why? is all I ask. Why were we born to just die? Is this what life has to offer? Working a 9-5 every day of the week, worrying about college debt, paying rent, and having food to eat. Are we really living our lives? I just want someone to see me...
