Can't

When 'They' Doubt

By Zoe KayPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Look at yourself; what can you do?

Look at your eyes; they can’t see into a soul.

Look at your feet; they can’t walk on water.

Look at your hands; they can’t hold the world.

Can’t.

Can’t, can’t, can’t.

They always say we can’t.

But look at those eyes.

And look at those feet.

Look at those hands.

Ready to pierce the illusion.

Ready to run into battle.

Ready to tear away the lies.

See those eyes; they can watch the hallway around you pass and return.

Those feet — they can pace in circles.

And those hands — they can hold a phone.

Look at yourself; what can't you do?
