Burnout
This poem is from two different perspectives.

Hello, how are you?
Are you feeling grand today?
Look I'm busy right now
But you can tell me all about it later, okay?
Hi, it's you again
No, I'm with Shaun right now
Just write it down in pen
Don't say you don't know how
There was silence today
No bleep or ring
Needless to say, I felt dismay
I've thought of everything
Of every reason why you haven't asked me about my day
I wonder if it's because of the way I cling
I'm sorry for being me, okay?
There's been silence for a month now
I can only assume you're gone
I said I'd call with an empty vow
But how can I when everything goes wrong
It's been quiet without you
I hope you drop a line soon
Maybe one more will do...
About the Creator
Robert Stevenson
I like writing expanded universes and stories but my forte is writing poetry; these are usually not very uplifting but I'm usually writing from direct experience or darker inspirations
