Burn

A forbidden love that was never meant to happen, but it did in secret and the scars still linger.

A flame so constant

A fire so bright

She consumes me slowly

Taking my breath away

Stealing the oxygen from me

With a burning passion

Consuming my entire entity

But I'm not afraid

I want it

I embrace it

Like a siren's song

It calls to me

With a sweet melody

And an everlasting beauty

Until I'm breathless

Melting away

With nothing left to say

Cause my body betrays me

From the words I try to hide

A simple phrase

That chokes me every time

So I continue to burn

Hoping it'll die
