A Short Poem of Heart Break

Like

To spend so longjust watching you.The way you smile.The way you laugh.The way your eyes shine.It's all so beautiful.

And yet

so painful.I see every little thing you do.Every time I'm around you.

But you don't see me.

You don't hear me.

All you see is my shell.All you hear is my stutternot the flutterof my aching heart.

When they hurt youyou never turn to me.You turn to your other friends.Your closer friends.Your old loves who have hurt you before.

And that's alright.

That has to be alright.

After all,you choose them over me.
