He lied, I cried,
But I'll never forget
How we both said we felt.
And yet one day my world fell apart
When he told me there was someone else.
Yet we still played our stupid game,
Pretending we could carry on.
We’d pretend we never said those words,
Never said that magical word.
But we couldn't pretend anymore
Because it hurt me more each time we touched,
And each time you whispered sweet nothings in my ear.
Now I've moved on
But you can't let me go
Which hurts me more each day.
I just want you to leave me now
And let me love him a better way.
