Broken Heart

A Poem

How do you heal a lost heart?

How do you mend the broken pieces?

How do you stop the shedding tear?

How do you stop the memories from overflowing?

How do you pick up and carry on?

How do you fight from going back?

How do you love again?

How do you trust again?

How do you say I love you again?

How do you walk past him with her?

How do you avoid seeing him in this small world?

How do you keep from breaking down every time you see a picture of him?

How do you keep a smile on your face?

How do you keep from having sleepless nights?

How do you forgive him?

How do you open up to others?

How do you say I’m okay without crying?

How do I move on?

How do I say hello?

After all I've been through, I still have no idea how to love again. I’m scared of being used, mistreated, taken for granted, ignored, lied to, cheated on.

It’s a pain that all my ladies have been through, roughest time of our lives looking for somebody to give every single inch of our love to, remembered it like yesterday. To my first love, how dare you? Let me be so foolish thinking you were the one, guess I can’t really blame a deadbeat, but it wasn’t only just you. All the rest of you young men I gave my heart to have taken me for granted. Hope you're happy.
