A Poem

Holding the door open, I remembered how forgettable you

Are,

Perhaps it's time to remove all crumbled cookies from your

Jar.

Distant apologies, did I happen to take it too

Far?

Never second, always the first aid to your new

Scar.

Stuck between a hard place and a rock i take for

Granite,

Who is currently at the helm if I'm the only one that can

Man it?

Focus maintained, unsatisfactory just might exceed what they

Expect,

Mirror, mirror, i seen it all please don't reject how I

Reflect.

Created quite the buzz now it's time to change

Hives,

Shifting shape is unheard of, even though they saw me change

Lives.

Am I a savage or just not fit for a society reserved for the

Humane,

I'm a new breed, reviving old souls with a new

Strain.

Paddling up your bloodstream once you say my name in

Vein,

I learned to dive head first with a thick skull and a thin

Brain.

Residing in this crazy town, I'm a nut if I ask

You,

Few know of the planters responsible for this

Cashew.

No desire to stay grounded without my air

Support,

A sense that is common has become a very rare

Retort.

Choosing carefully, our fighting words have only begun to

Spar,

Keeping the door cracked, I forgot how rememberable you

Are.
