Breathe—

she reminds herself daily,

exhale the intrusive thoughts

that try to taint her quiet spirit,

uplifts herself with words of faith

that breathes life and encourages,

she ignores speculation that distorts the truth

Smile—

she smiles despite the

course trails she encounters,

refuses to frown or allow

depression to repetitively

resound the grief from her past,

her life still has a purpose

Laugh—

as the year comes to an end

she laughs at past mistakes,

reflects a peaceful heart

ponders her next steps cautiously,

creates new goals to pursue all

while being true to who she is
