Breakable

A broken romance

A heart saturated in fearful blood

Tortured souls whimpering with remorse

Nineteen sixties run through my mind

Snapshots of spattered ink

Engraved in wrinkled fragments

Of memories drawn from what we see

Atoms dissolve from my skin into an explosion of dust

Millions of lights blind me as the sun shines through my shattered eyes

Disposed in an epiphany that tangles my web-like thinking

Shadows. Which are aimed in the opposition of light

Colours. Flying colours in the wind

Laughter. A natural high of adrenaline

Through my pulsing veins. Pumping.

Smokey particles of oxygen through two small holes

Using the knife that sharpens with each drawn breath

Poison that flows down the throat of consumption

Thoughts. Flowing through a never-ending current of intoxication

Words. Extracted from the natural vibrations that run

Drumming. Running. Thumping.

We lose ourselves in the parodies we create

To subconsciously distract us from the reality that is too hard to bear

One dream. One life. One death. One mind.
