BREACH OF FAITH

Deep within my soul there was a part of me that knew.

It knew your true nature, but foolishly it was blinded by love.

You were aware of the hold you had over me and you abused the trust and the kindness and the forgiveness that I had bestowed upon you years before.

I may have broken eyes, but I can still see through the shards left behind.

I see now all that you are and maybe all that you will ever be.

How could you?

After all the suffering we endured as one.

We share so much and yet you care so little.

The pieces of my heart that I had put back together you shattered with your betrayal.

You say blood is thicker than water, but the blood that used to overflow my veins now runs dry.

There was a phrase forever and always and to you that means only to your convenience.

I felt less than human and this pain, oh does the pain make my heart so.

It is as if you reached into my heart with a malice covered hand; squeezing my rib cage and beating heart.

When you let go you left your poison and there are still bruises where your hands once were across my heart.

You left me for dead and forgotten.

A thought may have occurred to you, well I say dismiss it.

You think that the next go around that I will just lie on my back while you beat and kick me with your cold hearted, narcissistic, hypocritical, toxic hands and feel; maybe it’s time to reevaluate your current perspective.

I will not be the a submissive little bitch.

There may still be love in my heart that beats for you but I’ll be damned if you throw away my life for approval.

If you want to kill someone make sure there isn’t a pulse left in their body before you walk away.

There are two sides of you and there may only be one of me, but I guarantee that if you do what you did to me a third time there will be no love, no forgiveness and absolutely no kindness.

Instead there will only be a woman.

She might be full of pain, but there will be a reckoning brewing up inside her soul.

She will leave you lower than you ever left her.

She is an honest sinner, not a liar.

What I have just stated, that’s a promise.
