Bounce

Light & Dark

I wish I walked with a bounce

Or only at least an ounce

of Love

There's a darkness in my gait

a terrifying state

of affairs

For I was once the purveyor

of light, breezy sunshine airs

That's been sucked from my system

a numbness now

Have I missed them?

It takes energy to be sunshine and light

It's easier to bring the dark

be the night.
