Born to Be Me

An LGBTQ+ Poem

Setting myself free...

Born to be female,

One of the girls.

Born to wear dresses,

Make-up and curls.

Born to be married,

To the man of my dreams.

A sweet little family,

Or so it seems.

Who am i kidding,

I’m actually a boy.

Don’t touch my Binder,

That’s my pride and joy.

Can’t tell my mother,

She’ll lose her S**t.

I’m female-to-male,

Trans* they call it...

You won't understand,

If i tell you what's true.

I guess for now,

I stay a girl to you.

Please understand,

There is nothing wrong.

I'm being myself,

Just trying to belong.

Born to be Human,

I'm still the same.

Please Call me Casey,

As that is my name.

Born to be strong,

Born to be Free.

Born to be Casey,

Born to be me...
