Born Again

I want to be born again

where there is no shame

and I can be who I really am

no one to blame

no answers that cut you open

like a rolling blade

And I can be as a child

allowed to beg for a hug

because I feel hurt

and there is no fear

to just look up at the stars

In that place I can be all

what I am and what I am not

I can see there is nothing wrong

Because we are just light

but this is so hard to live by

maybe I won't survive

they will stab my soul

with a knife bleeding with pride

so I put my mask on, I hide

all the questions I have to ask

and the tears I cry
