Boarding a Plane

For you to feel as you feel right

I’d go running through any airport

Just to hold your hand.

I’d listen to every word you say

Just to understand.

I’d fly further than the next life

Just to see your face

And just to be your side

I’d fly to any place.

Even if you didn’t want me

Or left when I got there.

Even if you turned away

Or didn’t seem to care.

Even if thoughts were actions

Or actions not enough

I’d board a plane for you

And prove to you my love.

If distance was truth

And truth was love

Then the other side of the world

Is not distance enough.

If a drop came from heaven

And heaven is paradise

Then you must have dropped upon us

To be the ultimate prize.

Now I’ve made you vomit

I think I’ll take my leave

But please just remember

You’re all that I need.

I’ve no use for money

I’ve no use for land

All I need beside me

Is your gentle loving hand.
