Bloody Selfishness

In the land of the blind there are wars and rumors of war,

a heart problem has risen and a lack of sympathy,

bloody streams seeping through the ground; crying out to the LORD,

a lack of compassion and a rise of the meritocracy,

screaming children in foreign nation's as their family lie dead in filthy streets,

an obsession of idols and an infiltration of drugs at the border,

veterans showing red flags suffering from PTSD,

walking passed a prostitute selling herself at the corner,

adolescents struggling from peer pressure and being bullied,

complaints of obesity and a justice system in an outrage,

coming up with every excuse in the book to not make change,

not being humble and getting involved with the community,

but staying at home and pointing fingers; making blame,

children are the future kings and queens of society,

rise up and take courage and follow your vision,

instead of dousing hearts with gasoline,

seek guidance, righteousness and wisdom, or sit back; shut your mouth and watch the World crumble and fall,

why do we hurt the ones that love us most of all?

Having peace is my one wish,

but all people care about is their bloody selfishness...
