Blinking Cursor

Some love stories are left unfinished.

You knew you wanted her

you just weren’t sure what words could get you there.

In the meantime, you caught a glimpse of me;

suddenly your fingers flew across the keys.

You knew I’d fall, fast and hard

so you passed your time with me

together typing up a love story.

If only I’d known you were writing fiction.

And when she knew it would hurt me most

she winked at you, and you left me.

Our story abandoned in the midst of

“I love—”
