Blind Sided

Poetry

With no intentions of being conscious,

As the darkness creeps over,

And eyes closed shut.

She lies awake with the boy who shed his tears,

Rage built up inside that had yet to be released.

In a room ice cold they laid skin to skin.

So happy she found the love of her life,

Yet so enraged,

She lies there smiling with the boy who first cried for help.

But as she opens her eyes to watch him sleep,

All she could realise was that it was all a fantasy...
