Blame

Wondering If You Would Ever Cheat

Smaller Freckles cover your face

Big brown eyes take my breath away

Brown curly hair in your way

Looking at your smile makes my bad days go away

The way you hold my hand tightly

Makes me feel quite light

The touch of you makes me want to hold you longer

My head resting on your chest

Making me feel blessed

Listening to your heartbeat

Wondering if you would ever cheat

Treating me so right, something felt wrong

Had me wondering if we would last long

But I had to be strong

Because I knew we weren’t going to last at all

I really had a ball

But I knew I was going to fall

I wanted to feel loved

Even if the aftermath meant I’d feel numb

Those little kisses where you’d complain

It made me feel some type of way

Now I feel a slight pain

My chest aches when I don’t see your name

But I’m the one to blame

Now I feel so ashamed

Because you were mine to claim

I just stare at the flames

Wishing that you came

So I can say you’re not the one to blame
