Why do you let anxiety rule your life Kaiya?

Why do you let what the stupid White kids say get to you?

Why are you only friends with the White kids?

I raised you better, Kaiya.

I raised you to respect people and Their lifestyles, but only obey to mine.

It may be there, but it's not real.

It's not right.

I have taught you right from wrong.

There is no gray.

We bleed red.

But Black kids aren't blue.

There is no blue in this Black kid of mine's mind.

Depression isn't real unless it's a White kid's mind.

The white picket fence becomes too much, and cuts of the diamond are just cuts in their wrist.

I've taught you to obey the colorless world I see.

There is no blue for you, Kaiya.

There's red the color we bleed.

Black the color we are.

And white, the color we are up against.

I've guided you to a place where the only cornrows you'll ever see are the ones in the back of your head.

The food you eat comes from the crock pot of dreams.

The only music you listen to through those precious beets which you refuse to eat are rappers not taking defeat.

You can't be goth Kaiya.

To much black is depressing.

And you can't be blue Kaiya.

There is no blue for you.

Only for the White kids who you try to be

You follow the sea of people who whipped us like wild horses.

Who held guns to our heads in our fights for freedom.

Kaiya, you are not depressed, do not put your life on rest.

You don't have anxiety because you are my baby.

You must obey.

Before you talk,

Kaiya, remember what you were taught.
