"Tell me what you see after a long long day..."

Tell me what you see after a long long day

You fell in love just to have your heart break

Your drugs are in the drawers, calling out your name

You try to stray away from there

But you can’t, that’s where you ran for safety

I’m not disappointed, baby

As you get it out and split it up and all those pretty things

You feel your tears welding up, eyes start to bleed

Bloodshot in the best of ways, is this a roman holiday?

Sniff it, swallow it, stab it in your veins

It hurts so bad, in such an amazing way

Close your eyes and imagine you drop

But you really did, it’s an overdose

And now you’re lost

So when you closed your eyes, tell me, what color did you see?

No, no, no, it wasn’t blue or pink

It wasn’t a rainbow spread about the sky in such a beautiful way

It was dark, it was cruel, it was the coldest color to this day

Black, black, black, is what I’m trying to say.
