Betrayal Unwanted

When the Truth Hurts the Most

Your lies cut me like a knife

Pain hidden behind a smile painted upon the face

Put on a show, put on a show so no one knows

You’re okay, nothing is wrong

You’ll be fine tomorrow

So small, you feel so small

Bravo, applause for the best actor

You’re not angry

You’re hurt

Never in your wildest dreams would you do what was done

Trust broken, never to be restored

Betrayal coming from the least expected source, that hurt the most

The lies, giving temporary relief

Lies that blanket the truth

True colors are bitterly shown

Your heart lost and wandering

You never planned to start over with something new

Time to push through

heartbreak
