Behind the Scenes

When I'm alone I think of you.

When I'm alone I think of you.

And her.

And how she knows you better than I do,

Or maybe ever will.

You two have your own language and inside jokes

And all the only thing we have

Is each other's presence.

I don't know how to talk to you,

You seem distant and I don't want to push you so I fall back.

And watch from behind the glass.

When you two are together I third wheel.

You're always together,

Never apart.

I'm being left behind.

Again.

I don't want to confront you because I don't want you to think I'm annoying.

But I don't want to lose you.

I can't.

I've lost too many

And you'd hurt the most.
