Because You Gave Me Life

Dear biological mom, thank you.

Where are you, Mom?

I have no clue.

It seems that I have been taken from you.

Who are you, Mom?

I feel so blue.

Never have I gotten a chance with you.

What’s the time, Mom?

Ours is past due.

I guess drugs were priority to you.

Why’d you leave us, Mom?

You only stayed for a few.

I had to be done with you.

What have you done, Mom?

You gave birth to more than two.

Beautiful life came from you.

Consequences, Mom.

Your decision meant we’re through.

Thought it benefited you.

Remember, Mom?

You said drugs would fulfill too.

Instead, you missed out on four beauties, that’s on you.

It’s okay, Mom.

We were more than you could chew.

Still, I wonder what my life would have been with you.

I love you, Mom.

You are my biggest thank you.

I am forever and always grateful for you.
