Back and Forth with the Waves Different Cities, Different Days

The Introduction of a Fellow Wanderer

I write on the go My mind wandersAlong with my body

We were driving on highways

Red lights fall on my side gaze

I’m ready to burn into the sun

Grab my guitar you grab your guns

And these space pops got me tripping

That time we went skinny dipping

Sunday brunch at 2 pm

I find myself by my window again

We were jamming on rooftops

I wrote this shit at a Starbucks

Raves by the beach

Girls like me taste like bleach

And I’m vodka shots, you’re MDMA

We fall like leaves in the month of May

Friday nights at 5 am

I find myself by your window again

I watch the rainfall

My youth isn’t yours

I belong to the city lights of Kuala Lumpur

I belong to the sunrise off Bondi

I’m feeling like winter in July

I’m feeling the sand between my toes

I walk into the ocean

And that’s how the story goes

Back and forth with the waves

Different cities different days
