Feeling the light that shines within...
The touch of a heart of glass
So precious
So pure
Cherishing the world
Deep within its core
Feeling the light that shines within
And amplifies it to the moon
The temptations that draw you away
Pull you down into its cave
Trapped by the torture
The pain
The sorrow of life's devastations
The constant agony of being ashamed
The ice wrap around you
Like a blanket filled with self-doubt
You feel the terror being absorbed
Paralyzed
Believing that there is no other way
Until you find a gentle embrace from the newly met
And the skies begin to pour
Shedding the tears of fermented wine
Aged from the salted wounds
That one could never express
With the warmest hand
One has ever held
You are pulled to the surface
To see a whole new world
Where one has forgot
Seeing things for how they are
With the memories intact
You let go of the pain
The lessons in life begin to clear
With eyes wide open
You see even more
Once again
By the touch of a heart of glass

The Business of Nature
Dew drops reflected the light of the sun. The inhabitants of Whispering Woods woke up to the golden droplets of water on the leaves of the flora. The oaks particularly enjoyed the light and the maples did, too. Happiness enveloped all who lived there, even the rocks that cried out in the night delighted in the morning.
