Autumn Dreams

Walking With You

I fall with the trees

As I laugh with ease

On the path through the towering trees

The road full of colour

With you here beside me

We walk with no end

The leaves,

Red, yellow, orange

Dance along with the wind

It takes them to the sky

Then they flutter down below

Our feet walking side by side

We glide past the wooden walls

Crack the stick beneath our step

Till forest disappears

We tell eachother stories

That turn into whispers in the trees

There they stick to the branches

In the sky forevermore

We leave that little trace

Now we begin to say goodbye

Our words floating up to the birds

And they sing along

As our hearts slowly fall with the sun
