Autumn

The Passing Seasons

Autumn

An autumn chill is in the air

Autumn nights are cool and clear…

Leaves are falling to the ground

Gently slowly without sound

Days abate and night grow long

Southward fly the birds of song

The blue jay and the robin sing

We will see you in the spring

Sunny days are waning fast

Now the warmth of summer past

As our daily watch, we keep

Flowers soon will fall asleep

All beautiful the march of days

As heavenward we cast our gaze

Each season has its special joy

Bringing thoughts of years gone by.
