A kindred spirit whose flame burns with the same body warming glow Whose mind and intellect with the same current and torrent does flow

Craving that which I have not yet tasted or touched with my fingertips, When the thought of how much longer I have to wait to hold you, my heart rips.
A choice to make with my mind and heart pulling my sanity in opposite ways, A choice that should be so easy and simple to make yet leaves me in a daze.

Slowly I pull away at the threads of your tapestry, unravelling your tale, As your memories come loose stitch by stitch, I watch and listen to see what they entail.
To enjoy a flowers beauty you leave it to live and grow, You watch it blossom through storms and survive in the snow. If you pick it and take it up from out of the earth,
Drowning in your thoughts, a watery abyss in the mind, A darkness inside the head, where you search yet cant find. Dark and frightening thoughts pulling you into the chaos of the deep,
Whenever we begin to talk, all time stops dead in its place, As I listen to the words cascading from your mouth and focus on your face.
A gilded cage holding and incarcerating a bird of paradise, Unable to lift its wings and to the unbound skies rise. Jailed inside its prison for all to see and admire,
Slowly but surely years of barriers and defences are tumbling, High walls built to hide behind and cower are now steadily crumbling.
An unexplainable grin stretching from ear to ear, As your face comes to mind and your voice I hear. Those all around me unaware of the bliss in my mind,
If only you could see and feel what I feel and see, You would understand why I call you habibaty. A sense of euphoria and liberation as you run through my mind,
A blossom in a desert stranded and alone Lost and forlorn amidst the sand and stone It’s quivering petals stretching towards the skies
