I keep reminiscing on better and brighter days. In those days is where I want to stay. Just spread my wings and fly, fly so far away.

A teenage girl, just trying to fit in. Judged everyday, like she herself, is a sin. Their voices consume her. All their threats.
I wish I was a bird. So I could fly far away. As I lay here and stare out my window, A bird taunts me. As the memories haunt me.
My mind is like a storm. One that brings horrible disaster. One that is all of a sudden; An awful downpour. One minute I'm happy,
I wish you could see what I see. I wish you could feel what I feel. I wish you could just be me. Just for a day, maybe two.
