Forgotten
Saturday: August 6 I got up and got changed. I went downstairs and saw Sami again. She was sitting downstair on the table. She was showing me her sketches of the floorplan of the Hellman Place. She said, "Next week Monday, the building having a annivesary party. That's when we make our escape. There won't be any hall monitors. Everyone will dress up so it's hard to tel who are the patients. All we have to do is go outside as we don't feel good and we need a fresh air." I nodded as I listen to the plan. All we have to do is wait until the day comes. Then we make our escape.

I was looking for an idea to do some more writing, so I went on Pinterest for some more ideas. I came to one idea, and I like it. So, I did it as challenge for myself, to improve my writing skills. So, I put my music playlist in shuffle mode and the first five songs is what I used to make this short story. Hope you enjoy reading. Thank you :D

Follow the Breadcrumbs
Morning has risen and I barely slept. There was a murder incident in my town. It’s on the news and in the newspaper, it’s everywhere. You cannot miss it. I live in a small town. The story is about a young woman named Holly Shelton who I went to school with. Everyone was confused and there seemed to be no clues as to why she was murdered. She was the prettiest girl in school, the captain of cheerleader team, daughter of the chief of police, the best waitress in the local diner, and her boyfriend Alex was the captain of the football team. She is simply someone who had no enemies. Her father, as the chief of the police, had sent a lot of people to prison. There were a lot of people who were his enemies. I knew Holly, but I was the biggest nerd, so I ran in a different crowd.

Love Grows
Chapter Three “The Engagement” I woke up and I had a massive headache. I also have heartache as well. I didn’t want to think about it. Went downstairs for breakfast. Willie was reading a book. He looks up and smiled. He said, “Good morning, beautiful.” I barely smiled. He looked and asked if I’m all right. I told him that I wasn’t feeling well. We walked together to the dining room. We ate our breakfast and went to our room to pack. I really need to talk with Willie. As we were leaving, Willie’s father gave me a glare. I knew what it meant. My stomach tightens. Willie smiled and wave goodbye to his father. We got in the carriage and heading back home. Thinking until I fell asleep. Love is a complication especially when you don’t know what to do. I don’t want to lose him but at the same time I don’t want to hurt him. What should I do? I don’t know what to do.

Love Grows
Chapter Four “The Announcement” I stood there and I have no words. I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say. He said, “Well?” I said, “I don’t know what to say.” He said, “Say yes. I love you. I always have.” I smiled and nodded. He hugged me and gave me the most passionate kiss. I couldn’t describe how I was feeling. I have everything I ever wanted. I don’t need anything else. I’m marrying the man who I love. I’m overjoyed. Tears begin to form in my eyes. Willie loves me. He is so considerate of me and other people. That is one of things that made me fall in love with him. He said, “Now, I am the happiest man in the world. You complete my world. Now, let go and tell your parents the good news.” I smiled. He held my hands as we walk to my house.

Love Grows
Chapter Two “The Friendship” I look up at the clock in my room to check the time. It is almost the time that I’m supposed to meet William. I went downstairs and head outside. The lake is few miles south from my house. As I was walking, I can see beautiful flowers buds starting to bloom. I can see the lake sparkling from the sun shining. It is a perfect day for taking a stroll. I sat down on the grass near the tree where Willie and I used to sit. I waited and saw William. The ways he stands remind me so much like Willie. I set aside my thoughts about Willie. I said, “Hello, William. I wasn’t expecting to get a telegram from you.” He shook his head and said, “Oh, you don’t want me to see you. I apologize.” I shake my head and say, “No, it’s not that. I just met you. There are no gentlemen had a real interest in me.” He looks at me and his face changes. There is something about his face. It is like he knows me except that we just met. The way he looks at me is just comforting. His face changed and he became sad. He said, “Why?” I look down and said, “Look at me. I’m old. Men like younger women. I’m twenty-four.” Then he smiled. He said, “Well, then I’m lucky to know you. You are kind and beautiful.” I smiled. He is sweet and kind gentleman. He is well mannered as well. He pardons himself and goes to his carriage. He pulled out a picnic basket.

Love Grows
Dear Diary, My name is Elizabeth Parker. I was born in 1860. I am in my early twenties. I am firm about what I believe. I’m very emotional. Always believe in right and wrong as well in justice. I don’t believe marriage without love. I wouldn’t marry anyone for money like my brother Edward. I’m intelligent and always reading and spend most of the days revive about romantic novels. I lived in a small cottage with my parents. My father is Joseph Parker. He is so kind and wise. He has so many good qualities such as compassion, patience, and love. He is my favorite person. My mother is Catherine Quimby Parker. She can be dramatic sometime but is very understanding and supportive. It’s just three of us since Edward got married to Lady Catherine Quigley of Damerly. Her father is Lord Matthew Quigley of Damerly. Catherine got her inheritance from her father when he passed few years ago. She gets 10,000 pounds a year. Edward inherits 5,000 pounds a year from the war. He married her for her inheritance and her beauty. People said she is beautiful, and her face is breathtaking. I don’t truly believe that. She is beautiful but she judges lower class people. She married my brother because he has a good reputation from the war. He was a hero to many people. There was a 10-year difference between them, Catherine is the same age as me. They lived in a house in Damerly where Lady Catherine inherits from her father. They always go to Bath at least twice a year for a month or so. They love to socialize such as going to the opera or a musical play. They love to mingle and waiting until someone important invites them. They seem to love the lifestyle. I don’t see them very often.

A Mysterious Encounter
At one night while working at my job as a pianist at a local restaurant, a stranger approached me. He made a request to play a specific song. There was a moment between us that was both awkward and electrifying. He walked away as I played the song. Later in the night, while I was on my break, he approached me. His hand reached out to me, silently asking me to dance. My hand clasped his, as he led me to the dance floor. He twirled me and held me close. I could feel his breath next to my cheek, whispering to me. The heat began to rise in our bodies as we danced. He breathed, "What is your name?" I smattered, "My name is Elena. I need to get back to work." He smiled, and a dimple appeared as he said, "That's a beautiful name you have. But I have no wish to have you leave so soon. They will be fine without you for a while. You get at least a 30 minute break, don’t you?” And instead of releasing me, he merely smiled, and pulled me closer. I couldn't think. My mind is blank but filled with wonder. His eyes were filled with curiosity, and twinkled with promises and mischief. His head leaned in close to mine for, what I thought might be a kiss, but he stopped as he stared at my eyes. Suddenly the room seemed to go silent, and the world fell away, as if we were the only two people left in the room.
