How to Write: A Novel Based Off a Fan Fiction
The world of fan fiction is such a strange phenomenon if you really think about it. I mean, you as the writer are essentially taking things that exist—movies, shows, video games, comic books, manga and anime, even "real" people—and creating your own stories within those worlds and with those characters, or making entirely new ones of either or both. Whether it's a retelling from a different character's perspective or with the "wrongs" of something (like how it ended, what romantic pairings formed, who died or didn't die, and so on) righted, or it's set in an alternate universe or has a crossover with a similar or completely different series, or it's just mindless smut or fluff, fan fiction is a very broad spectrum comprised of every genre imaginable, and every kind of writer—and style—along with them.

5 Things I Love and 5 Things I Hate About: 'Dragon Ball'
Dragon Ball is one of those things that I feel a lot of 90's kids like me grew up with, or at the very least, were aware of, like Pokémon, Digimon, and Sailor Moon. It came to the U.S. around the same time that those other anime did, and I remember knowing a lot of kids who liked it, just as I did. Looking back, I can see why, since it had a lot of humor, but more than that, it had a lot of great action scenes, filled to the brim with long staredowns, big explosions, and lots of screaming - sort of like Michael Bay Transformers movie, only it was the characters screaming while they powered up, and not the viewer screaming at the movie for being boring beyond comprehension.

How (Not) to Write: A Y.A. Romance, Part ITop Story - September 2017
Young Adult literature is probably one of the most popular genres nowadays from what I've seen, and it has been for the past few years, perhaps even longer. I think the buzz started with Twilight, and even though it's had its ups and downs, the high that book brought has stayed and only gotten more and more pronounced over time. A lot of this has to do with movies and shows being created based around popular Y.A. books, but I think the books are the things people enjoy the most. I would say the same case works for me, since I tend to be one of those people who believes that 'the book is better,' simply because books tend to have more to them, and movie representations can be, well, hit-or-miss.

Top 10 Pokémon Designs: Gen. II
The first generation of Pokémon is probably the most nostalgic for a lot of people. Back then, things were a bit simpler. Battles were more straight forward, there weren't any crazy methods of catching or evolving wild Pokémon, and more importantly, there were only one hundred and fifty Pokémon to catch overall. But nothing as popular as this franchise was going to stay small forever, and thus, Gen. II was soon born, bringing with it a whole lot of new Pokémon - including a handful of pre-evolutions and evolutions for existing 'mons - and with them, some more awesome designs. As with anything, some people latched onto a handful when it came to the ones they liked most, while others were ridiculed or forgotten.

Top 10 Pokémon Designs: Gen. I
When it comes to Pokémon, there are a lot of things to enjoy. Whether you're a fan of the video games, a fan of the anime and its various movies, a fan of its manga, or you just like the concept and enjoy creating your own Pokémon and adventures, there is so much that this franchise brings to the table in terms of entertainment. It's one of the reasons I believe that Pokémon is so immensely popular, and it holds true for me, since I've been a fan of the franchise for over twenty-plus years. True, it has its flaws - as with any series - but those are usually easy to look past when you're spending hours on end trying to capture that legendary, or when you just got done binge-watching an entire season.
